Fleximate® Transport Line and Fleximate® Floor Stations FAQ
What is the Fleximate® Transport System?
The Fleximate® Transport System is a unique modular design, that it is a combination of an ergonomic workstation and a conveyance. A pair of track tubes join each station together, on which Fleximate® carts with product roll along, creating a single piece flow.
How are the stations shipped?
We offer our stations ready to assemble, with fittings in place on the respective tubing. As an option, we can provide the stations assembled for direct shipment.
Is it difficult to assemble?
With the fittings in place, they are ready to assemble with a 3/16” hex key. For multiple stations, a ball tipped hex key bit and cordless drill will minimize the assembly time.
What is the weight capacity of a standard station?
We rate the standard station at 300 pounds. Transport carts are rated at 150 pounds with higher capacities available.
What is the standard size of the Fleximate® Transport Carts?
Our carts come in two sizes. A 12” wide track version is available with a 12” x 18” top. Our 18” track has a 18” x 22” top. Custom sizes are available, please inquire.
Are the stations available in an ESD version?
Yes, all floor stations as well as the Fleximate® Transport Line have ESD versions.
How can you start a Lean Cell Concept?
We have a Cell Questionnaire in the Fleximate® Transport Line Lean Design drop down menu bar. Download the questionnaire, fill in as much as possible, and email it to: info@worksmartsystems.com. You can also call us or email us directly to speak with an engineer.
What maintenance is required on a Fleximate® Transport Line?
We recognize that production downtime is expensive, and for this reason we keep our lines uncomplicated. Our transport system requires little or no maintenance. Typically, light cleaning of the track tubes and cartwheels is all that is required. If a cell has our Fleximate® elevators, there are a few grease fittings for a semiannual lube.
Can our stations and cells be customized?
Absolutely, with our modular design, it is easy. For further optimization please contact us with your requirements.
What are the power and pneumatic requirements for a Fleximate® Transport Line?
Our Fleximate® Transport elevators operate with 120-volt cordset. All pneumatics operate with a clean, 80-90 psi supply.
Does Workmart Systems provide installation?
We offer an optional turnkey Lean Cells, that can ship via dedicated truck door to door. Our team, for an additional charge, can come to your facility to put the system in place and ensure it is operating properly, and assist in integration
Can the Fleximate® Carts be stopped in place?
We offer a pneumatic cart stop as well as a friction type. Both options are listed in our catalog.
What is the standard work height?
Most of our applications for a Fleximate® Transport Line or Floor type workstation are 36” from the floor to the worksurface. As with all our products, custom heights are available.
Can Worksmart provide fixturing for my product?
Yes, as a value-added service, we can provide efficient ergonomic fixtures that mount on our Fleximate® Transport Carts.
Does the Fleximate® Transport Line need to be anchored?
If a Lean Cell incorporates elevators or a turnstyle, we require that it is fastened or at a minimum, double-sided tape can be used for consistent alignment.
Can the Fleximate® Transport Line be reconfigured for future production?
Our extremely modular designs can be modified, continuously improved and/or repurposed.
Can a Fleximate® Transport Line have height adjustable workstations?
