Many times we are requested to provide custom solutions for product handling, testing, inspection, equipment integration, packaging, rework and everything in between.

Worksmart integrated precision fixtures with an ergonomic workstation for a high torque, high reliability assembly process using a combination of aluminum rectangular profile extrusion with their modular aluminum tubing and connectors.

Worksmart Turnstyle Line: Optimized Lean Flow
This custom application met the customers need to implement lean product on management for a new company with runaway sales which had to run from start up to full-blown production without having the time to step back and analyze. Hurdles included incoming receiving, inspection, cleaning, calibration, packing and shipping for a high volume and mix product. Worksmarts’ solution was to build variable speed carousels that would feed multiple positions and maintain balance. Another benefit of the turn styles was that they functioned as a gate for simple error proofing. Importantly, the refined cell and smooth product flow not only increased productivity it also decreased floor space requirements as well as work in progress. To further assist the very busy team, the cell was shipped set up, allowing production to commence in minimum time.
Worksmart Packing Cell
The existing packing and labeling operation was a batch process with multiple operators and duplicate labels, printers, documents, packaging and work in progress. Worksmart’s concept was to create a progressive flow with a two-position balanced cell with operators facing each other. Product flow is by variable speed conveyors connecting the stations. The benefits are increased productivity and ergonomics in addition to reductions in work in progress, materials, worker motion and floor space.
Ultraviolet Curing Cell
In this application Worksmart created a custom tunnel with UV source lighting to provide a repeatable adhesive cure for the MIL spec process.
The Cure tunnel was integrated with an existing Fleximte® Transport Cell resulting In an error proof, consistent high quality bond.
Smartower Mobile Whiteboard
We designed and built a series of portable Smart Towers that our customer utilized for messaging, measuring, recording, reporting and as a meeting point in each cell. The height and 4-sided graphics provide a presence with a minimum footprint.
A magnetic, erasable surface made posting quick and visual, throughout the production area.
